France
Kim has trained as an architect, worked for eight years at a cultural institution before devoting fully to working with clay and setting up her pottery studio in Paris in 2019. She combines her architectural background and craftsmanship to design and produce useful domestic objects. Mostly thrown, these contemporary ceramics are intended for everyday use and are entirely handmade. In the name of responsible manufacturing, they are made mostly using local clays extracted in the nearby regions of Normandy and Burgundy France.
