【Glaze : Asagiri】
Asagiri refers to the mist that rises in the morning. Within the blue, reminiscent of the crisp morning air, unexpected white mist appears. The density and placement of the mist vary depending on the moment. The unpredictability of the morning mist perfectly aligns with the delicate and unstable nature of this glaze, making it an ideal name.

Bisui Ishikawa, who creates her works in the nature-rich environment of Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture. She once worked as a company employee in Tokyo, but questioning the consumer-centric lifestyle, she chose to study pottery in Mashiko. Her work reflects the natural beauty she has been exposed to since childhood, drawing inspiration from elements like the shapes of leaves and stones, and the flow of rivers. She values the beauty of glazes that embrace imperfections and variability, and she strives to create soft forms that feel comfortable in the hand, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly the same.
