Bisui Ishikawa, who creates her works in the nature-rich environment of Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture. She once worked as a company employee in Tokyo, but questioning the consumer-centric lifestyle, she chose to study pottery in Mashiko. Her work reflects the natural beauty she has been exposed to since childhood, drawing inspiration from elements like the shapes of leaves and stones, and the flow of rivers. She values the beauty of glazes that embrace imperfections and variability, and she strives to create soft forms that feel comfortable in the hand, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly the same.
