Lyonel Feininger (1871–1956) was a painter, graphic artist, and caricaturist. Starting in 1919, he was a founding member of the Bauhaus, working first in Weimar and later in Dessau. In 1937, he emigrated to New York, where he continued to work for the rest of his life. This book not only presents his famous Expressionist works depicting architecture but also provides a comprehensive overview of his life and work, based on the latest research.
