This is the first monograph dedicated to the life and work of Japanese American artist Miyoko Ito. Ito built her career in Chicago, creating abstract works with a distinctive geometric structure that evokes landscapes and human forms. While her work was relatively unknown outside of Chicago, it has been reappraised for its unique, abstract richness. This book offers an in-depth exploration of her art and its historical context.
