This is a collection of works by Belgian visual artist Kristof Van Gestel, featuring 84 stuffed animals created by children during the "Bonte Zondagen" (Colorful Sundays) workshops held in Turnhout, Belgium. Through these participatory workshops, Kristof fostered and expanded the children's creativity, turning their imaginative creations into a collaborative project. The book captures this unique collaboration between the children's imagination and craftsmanship.

Kristof Van Gestel is a visual artist and a teacher-researcher at the Faculty of Arts at Ghent University. Since 1999, he has been creating sculptures, photographs, and projects that explore the place of art and creativity in everyday life. For him, making art is a means of exploring the various relationships individuals have with the world.
