This monograph features the work of Korean artist Haegue Yang, who is based in Germany and South Korea. It was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Centre Pompidou from July to September 2016. The book showcases 21 installation works created by Yang over the past decade. It highlights her use of industrial materials like Venetian blinds to create installations that blend geometric abstraction with historical and contemporary interpretations. The book includes detailed descriptions of these installations, accompanied by commentary from the artist herself.

Haegue Yang is a Korean artist primarily known for her sculpture and installation works. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Seoul National University in 1994 and later obtained her Master of Fine Arts from the Städelschule in Germany. She currently serves as a professor of fine arts at the Städelschule. Yang is based in both Berlin and Seoul, where she continues her artistic practice.
