Yield is the debut photo book by German photographer Jan Lehner. The images included were captured in the course of everyday life—many taken without a clear intent or final form in mind. Yet beneath the surface lies a narrative shaped by several years of profound personal change and challenge: the impact of the pandemic, the birth of a child, the loss of parents, and moments of hardship and renewal. While these events are not depicted explicitly, they quietly permeate the work, giving it depth and emotional resonance. The title, *Yield*, suggests a surrender to uncontrollable circumstances, and the insights that can emerge from such an experience.

Jan Lehner is a photographer from southwestern Germany. He studied photography in Munich before moving to London in 2009, where he established a career as a fashion photographer. Alongside his commercial work, he pursues personal projects that explore narrative and poetic expression through the photographic medium. In 2024, he published his first photo book, *Yield*, a contemplative collection of everyday images spanning five to six years, reflecting personal transformation and quiet resilience.
