Monograph on Berlin-based Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota, published in conjunction with her exhibition "The Soul Trembles," held at the Grand Palais in Paris from December 2024 to March 2025. This show is part of a major traveling retrospective that began at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo in 2019 and has since toured across Asia and Australia. Chiharu Shiota is a contemporary artist from Osaka, Japan, currently based in Berlin. Working across drawing, sculpture, video, performance, and immersive installations, she explores universal themes such as life and death, memory, and existence. She is especially known for her large-scale installations using red or black thread that fill entire spaces, creating deeply immersive and internationally acclaimed environments.
