Reiko began her journey in ceramics when she chose to study in the ceramics department at university. She was drawn to the direct, tactile experience of working with clay, the freedom of shaping forms, and the joy of creating pieces that could be used in daily life. In her practice, she explores fresh expressions by subtly adapting and combining traditional techniques. While she delights in the creative freedom of form and decoration, Reiko is always mindful to maintain functionality, creating works that seamlessly accompany everyday living.
